PABLO BLOOM does all your favourites on guitar, then on his piano keyboard - he sings and plays so well, yet in a fun way, so you get a lot of laughs. We saw him many times in our weeks there.
On our last holiday in Benidorm we looked around all week for posters advertising my favourite comedian DANNY DOWNING.
Then, on the last day, we got to see him. Well worth the wait.

Benidorm is a great place to be, and if you like entertainment, it
has so much going on you'll be
spoilt for choice.
It's like being back in the U.K. in
the seventies, when there were
hundreds of Social Clubs putting
on singers, comedians, and groups, the only difference being
that here you also have all that
lovely sunshine. Lots of acts from
home are living here now as this
is where they can make a living and enjoy it as well.
We found him at last, and a show worth seeing. All the big hits were there, and so was the style and all the Rod moves - lots of dancers on the floor.
Here's three top acts you must see, brilliant entertainers to suit every taste.
BENIDORM
(Left) The very beautiful DOVE SQUARE, a man-made lake surrounded by trees on the old town, very relaxing.
(Right) On the sea front at the old town, a lovely area to sit and enjoy the views. This picture is very rare, as it is the only
day I ever remember seeing it rain in Benidorm. Good job we had all the shops and cafes to take refuge.
JOHN & SYLVIA'S SING ALONG PUB.
If you like our Poundshops, you'll feel at home here at the Euroshop, plenty bargains - everything for 1 Euro each.
Both Grace and I are big Rod Stewart fans, so we wanted to see this fella's act - but had a job finding where he was on. Someone told us where he was playing, so we walked what seemed like miles with our pals, Sue and Dave, and eventually found the venue.
An Otis Redding tribute was on, doing all the great soul songs, so we were well entertained waiting for the Rodfather, he was great.
I really liked this show, saw Dave about four years ago, but failed to find him in following years. Hope he is still working Benidorm, as he is a must for Elvis fans.
JOHN AND SYLVIA WIGGINS were the first to bring acts from the U.K. and put on shows at their bar in Benidorm. They used to pack out their concert room with great artistes like TERRY KING and JASON KANE and many more, leading all the other pubs to follow their success - this was the beginning of the Benidorm we know now. They were also great musicians, John on keyboard, Sylvia on drums.
DEAN RYAN
as SHAKY.
Terrific singer,
and he's the
real thing!
The ROCK AND ROLL HOUSE, acts on every evening until late, we were there every night. Great atmosphere.
